Amanda met Yahulah through a mutual friend named Larmarco Bell, who happens to be one of her many business partners as well. Amanda has multiple businesses and is one of the most caring people to come across through her industries.
Amanda has a catering business under the name of Heyyamanduh. She is the main weekly vendor at a poetry event called "Penflow Writing Sessions" hosted on Wednesday nights in Chicago, IL. Her food is healing, delicious, and made with love in mind. People feel a sense of home when they eat her meals. Amanda is exceptional at what she has created for herself.
Yahulah had the pleasure of working with Amanda last summer with Amanda's organization called SISTAMoms. This event was very inspirational for every one involved. Amanda is not only great in the kitchen, she is also caring with people. Amanda has a way of making things fun and easy. We love the way that her food has a healing nature to it, very budget friendly and created for everyone to enjoy their time in whatever space they are in.

Amanda has built a name for herself in the community. All while she uses local ingredients from a community garden, therefore consumers can know that the ingredients are fresh! Amanda has the help of her family with everything that she does, leading to a great reason of inspiration to our healing connection.
Amanda started SISTAMoms with her mother, Ms. Yvonne. The business was founded in 2020 and started as a community based organization to support mothers and families through resources, parenting support, community events, youth programs, and economic/educational empowerment. We are happy to have met such a great person who inspires all to keep going and learning new ways to help people heal with food.
